More Exciting News from Sparta EMS!
As of October 1, 2025, Sparta EMS has deployed another advanced practice tool for the benefit of our community. Under the Medical Direction of Saint Clare’s Health, and in coordination with the New Jersey Department of Health Office of Emergency Medical Services, our team now has the ability to check blood glucose levels in patients experiencing any form of altered mental status. This important step ensures patients receive the most accurate, timely, and effective treatment possible.
Our responders have been training extensively to use this new capability and are eager to bring the latest, most up-to-date protocols to the Sparta community.
